They staged a suicide.
62-year-old lieutenant colonel of the Russian Armed Forces Sergei Savenko was “zeroed out” at the front. The top officer was killed by his own people by staging a suicide.
As Ukrainian journalist Denis Kayansky reports, Savenok went to war voluntarily, despite his advanced age. The occupant was from Shakhtersk, Donetsk region.
The families were notified that the lieutenant colonel had committed suicide, but the wife did not believe it and began writing complaints and demanding an investigation. However, no one in Russia responds to numerous complaints and appeals.
According to the occupiers, Savenok shot himself with a machine gun in the occupied Svatove, Luhansk region. However, the wife says that the husband could not shoot himself because of the length of the weapon. The family's lawyer is sure that Savenok was killed by his colleagues.
Two months before his death, the lieutenant colonel was at home and complained to his wife that it was hard for him at the front and he no longer wanted to return there. The commanders of the unit in which the occupier served pretend that nothing happened.
Here is a video fragment of Lieutenant Colonel Savenok’s speech before leaving for the front. Speaking to the occupiers, he promises that they will destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, the lieutenant colonel missed some important nuances.
