German police conducted a raid on Alisher Usmanov's villa in the Bavarian town of Rottach-Egern on the shores of Lake Tegernsee this morning, BILD reports.

Сustoms officers and employees of the Central Sanctions Enforcement Service were among the security forces.

Tangible assets were confiscated, including luxury cars and the Mercedes Maybach S500. They were taken from the villa. A year ago there was already a search there.

Usmanov, who maintains close relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, was placed on the European Union's sanctions list following the outbreak of Russia's war against Ukraine. His assets in the EU were frozen. These include three villas, a landing stage and a yacht. The real estate in Rottach-Egern still belongs to the oligarch, but he cannot rent it out or sell it. Previously, Usmanov challenged EU sanctions in court. According to Forbes, his net worth is $14.8 billion.
