Minsk, Vitsebsk, Mahiliou Covered With Snow

The first autumn snowfalls took place in the Belarusian cities.

The first autumn snowfall has started in Minsk.

Along with wet snow, squally wind is prevailing in the city. Forecasters predict temperatures from minus 2 degrees Celsius in the north to plus 9 degrees Celsius in the south-west of the country.

The regional centres of Mahiliou and Vitsebsk were also covered with the first snow.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned that on October 26, fog, rain, wet snow and icy roads are expected in some places across the country.

Wind gusts will reach 14 metres per second. Air temperature during the day: from -2°C in the north to +9°C in the south-west, in the afternoon in some places in the south - up to +14°C.

Forecasters have declared an orange level of danger for Thursday.
