A new bridgehead has been created on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Information has emerged that a Ukrainian paratrooper has managed to dislodge Russian forces from Poyma in the Kherson region. The village itself is located near the Dnipro River north of Oleshek, dialog.ua reported.
Some Russian war correspondents also claim that Peschanivka has also fallen under AFU control.
Today, 18 October, the Z-publik Rybar reported that AFU landing forces are allegedly already in Poyma and Peschanivka.
Military correspondents are alarmed because, according to the map, the AFU is expanding its bridgehead and presence on the left bank of the Kherson region.
The propagandists write that several brigades of marines, pontoon bridges and more than 100 boats and launches are already ready to form the Dnipro.
At the same time, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War report that between 16 and 17 October the Russian army allegedly prevented a Ukrainian attempt to land on the left bank of the Kherson region. Fighting took place in the area of Cossack camps and Podstepne.
A number of Z-publics also claimed that the previous day the Russian army had repelled attacks by several 20-man landing parties that had landed in a marshy area north of Oleshek near Peschanivka.
