On 18 October, planned mobilisation exercises will take place in the Ivatsevichy district, namely in Ivatsevichy itself, Kossovo and the village of Sosnovy lor.

"The purpose of the exercise is to check the readiness of local authorities, military authorities and other state bodies and organisations to carry out mobilisation tasks," the district executive committee said.

Preparations for the demonstration will begin in advance, the deployment of training sites will be completed by 16 October, and a dress rehearsal will be held on 17 October.

"Preparations include the erection of certain structures near the District Executive Committee building in Ivatsevichy. On 18 October, due to the arrival of official vehicles of officials participating in the event, traffic will be regulated on some streets in Ivatsevichy and Kossovo," the district executive committee added.

The local authorities assured that "all this is necessary for the mobilisation readiness training and should not cause concern among the citizens".
