Reuters: Secret Documents Found In Biden's Private Office

US President Joe Biden said he was surprised to learn that secret documents had been discovered at the think-tank he founded at the University of Pennsylvania. Reuters reports that.

He had periodically used the think tank's office space since mid-2017, after ending his tenure as vice president until the start of the 2020 election campaign.

At a press conference, Biden said he took any secret documents seriously and did not know what was in them.

"I was informed of this discovery and I was surprised to learn that some government documents had been delivered to this office, but I don't know what is contained in those documents," Joe Biden added.

The US president said he and his team would cooperate with the investigation to find out how the documents could have ended up in his office.

"We are fully cooperating with the audit, which I hope will be completed soon," Biden said.
