Shortage Of Medics, Workers Increase Further In Minsk

The employers are ready to hire them almost on the spot.
The number of the unemployed has increased in Minsk. At the beginning of September employers needed 23.6 thousand workers, reports the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Security of Minsk city executive committee. A month earlier there were 22.7 thousand job vacancies in the capital.
At the beginning of this month, there were 14.1 thousand job vacancies, which is 60% of all the offers of employers. A month earlier there were 13,300 vacancies, or 59%.
The following workers are most needed: cooks (735 vacancies), salesmen (599), car drivers (461), assembly fitters (421), maintenance workers (370), cashiers controllers (353), maintenance fitters (343), electricians for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment (322), turners (277) and painters (252).
The shortage of medics has also increased in the capital. As of September 1, employers needed 1,335 nurses (1,270 a month earlier) and 1,136 specialists (1,098).
Among professionals, there is also a shortage of engineers (678 vacancies at the beginning of September), paramedics (326), educators (320), teachers (211), accountants (124), managers (110), economists (95), teachers of additional education (89).
