The drone did not reach the target.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of the Kvertus anti-drone gun landed the Russian Mavic drone. On the body of the drone, the occupiers wrote “To Berlin! USSR 2.0".
This is reported by obozrevatel.com. Ukrainian soldiers sent photos of a downed drone, which never reach Berlin.
KVSG-6 by Kvertus is a Ukrainian-made anti-drone gun. Basically, this is a device that creates radio interference. It has a generator of interference, and directional antennae to deliver a signal to a target. Its frequencies cover 99% of commercial and tactical drones.
The device weighs 5 kg. Its range is 3.5 km in open space. Once in the range of the device, a drone loses connection with the satellite or with the control panel. Target loses the picture, it can not take a photo/video.
It is believed that the anti-drone gun can not land military drones, such as Orlan: they fly too high and operate at different frequencies than commercial and tactical drones. The gun targets are tactical-level drones, predominantly copters, which are used for fire control and intelligence. Drones carrying explosives are also correct targets.
