Mikalai Autukhovich Not Brought To Court Session For Third Day

The political prisoner has been on a dry hunger strike for 22 days.

Mikalai Autukhovich was not brought to the court session for the third day in a row. The condition of the imprisoned Vaukavysk businessman is unknown. 22 days ago he started a "dry hunger strike", Radio Svaboda reports.

Mikalai Autukhovich did not give any information about whether he started drinking and eating. According to him, he will not stop his hunger strike until he receives letters from his mother and other people.

It is known that after 10 days of hunger strike, the prisoner's condition deteriorated sharply. He was weak, walked half-bent, spoke softly. His lips and tongue went dry, he felt severe pains in his stomach, he could not sit in court because of the pain, he could only lie down.

The main defendant in the “Autukhovich case”, 59-year-old Mikalai Autukhovich, went on a dry hunger strike on July 11, protesting that he was given letters only from his mother, and no newspapers were delivered. On July 28 and 29, he was no longer present in court.
