Political Prisoner Zinaida Mikhniuk Transferred To Homel Women's Prison

The activist was convicted for "insulting Lukashenka".
On 12 July, Brest Regional Court considered the appeal of political prisoner Zinaida Mikhniuk, activist of the REP trade union. Judge Viera Filonik left the verdict unchanged. Now it's become known that Zinaida has recently been transferred to Homel prison No. 4, reports Viasna.
The police broke into the house of Zinaida Mikhniuk, an activist of independent REP trade union, through the window on Freedom Day in Brest. The woman was accused of insulting Lukashenka under part 1, Article 368 of the Criminal Code.
On 18 May, the court sentenced the political prisoner to two years in prison.
