In the temporarily occupied Novaya Kakhovka, the Kherson region, near the sluice of the Kakhovska HPP, a Russian Repellent-1 system, designed to combat drones within a radius of 30-35 km, is destroyed.

The complex was destroyed Monday, July 18. This was reported by the press center of the AFU Department for Strategic Communications.

This is the third such complex destroyed since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The first was destroyed on May, Snake Island; the second in early June near occupied Kherson.

Repellent-1 is a complex designed for electronic reconnaissance of drones by signals of radio-electronic means and suppression of their control systems. This is a system designed to disable enemy drones. This complex is capable of jamming drones within a radius of 30-35 km. The development of the Russian Repellent-1 system was completed in 2016, and its use by the occupants in Ukraine became known in 2018.
