Yury Butusov: We Can't Tell Even 5% Of What Goes On Front In News

A very fierce fight is underway.

The Russian authorities realized that the leadership of Ukraine, under the pressure of society, is aimed at winning the war with the Russian Federation. Yuri Butusov, editor-in-chief of Censor.NET, expressed this opinion in an interview published on May 30 with Ukrayinska Pravda.

“People at the front are very often a little surprised when the information space is overflowing with such cheerful, life-affirming narratives and news that everything is already fine with us, everything is stabilized, peaceful life. Because they don't feel it here. A very fierce fight is underway. We cannot tell in the news even 5% of what is actually happening, with regard to the very course of hostilities. But on the entire front there is a very fierce struggle against a very powerful enemy, who is making every effort to destroy our combat-ready formations, demoralize our society and force it to capitulate,” Butusov emphasized.

According to him, now there are no prerequisites for a de-escalation of the situation at the front.

“That is, the enemy already understands that the political leadership, under pressure from the Ukrainian people, will never back down, there will be no separate negotiations, looking into the eyes, and so on. Russia has set a course for the destruction of Ukraine, the destruction of the Ukrainian army. Russia is using all types of weapons, inflicting big blows, very powerful blows, using all types of weapons, and there are no hints that anything will soften, improve, at all. Therefore, of course, the army expects that priorities will be more clearly defined, more resources will be directed. And accordingly there will be changes that will allow us to achieve victory,” the journalist said.
