Ophthalmology is indeed being inspected and very actively. The 10th City Clinical Hospital, Eye Microsurgery Center in Minsk are waiting for a prosecutor's inspection, it has already been conducted in the 3rd City Clinical Hospital, Minsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital and a number of clinics, writes the White Coats telegram channel.
The control and audit department has recently completed its work in the Lahoisk CRH. In addition to the economic issues, the performance of the high-tech surgeries was checked very meticulously at the hospital. The main claim of the audit was that some of the surgeries wethe Lahoisk CRHre not classified as the high-tech ones, so no extra payment was due for them.
During the first wave of the covid, the doctors of the covid unit were fed and registered for allowances officially. However, physicians are now forced to reimburse those expenses for food.
The control and audit department wasn't checking the covid payments very intensively, however not because it wasn't interesting, but because after the control and audit department, the Department for fighting against Economic crimes would come and check this very issue. The covid payments to employees were paid more or less fairly in the Lahoisk CRH - the doctors who were in contact with the covid patients were paid in full in the majority of cases. Given the many changes in the covid diagnosing and in the organization of payments, physicians of Lahoisk are afraid that they will be asked to pay back some of the covid money (because there will be enough money for three days only in the country).
There is also information that checks of ophthalmologists will be followed by checks in ENT departments. This information has been confirmed by two independent sources.
It is not known whether these inspections are connected with the case of traumatologists, which is currently gaining national attention: some colleagues report that it had been known about the inspections in ophthalmology long before the first traumatologists were arrested.
