The major general was in command of the new 150th division.

- Yesterday, the National Guard regiment in besieged Mariupol posted a photo of a murdered Russian soldier with the epaulettes of a major general. The face in the photo was not fully visible. No documents were found on the corpse. But it is unlikely that any military man on the front line in the Russian army could allow himself to wear a general's shoulder straps as a joke. Nevertheless, anything can happen.
24 hours have passed. Not a single Russian media outlet refuted the news about the general's liquidation. Although usually the enemy always comments and tries to refute the information in Ukrainian social networks.
And today, a reasonable assumption has appeared in the Ukrainian media that the murdered man was Major General Oleg Mityaev, commander of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division, which is indeed taking an active part in the storming of Mariupol.
Mityaev commanded the Russian grouping in Syria. And he was put in command of a new 150th division deployed near the Ukrainian border specifically for offensive operations in the Donbass.
The elimination of Mityaev is a very cool thing, as he is one of Russia's most promising and significant military commanders.
Now, after such specification, let's see what the reaction in the Russian Federation will be, whether they will be able to refute the information on Mityaev. This is a serious blow to the morale of Russian commanders. And a huge success for the Heroes of Mariupol.
The Ukrainian soldiers in Mariupol have been fighting in a complete encirclement for 15 days. Without water, heat, light. Every day they endure terrible artillery and air bombardment, every day they repulse assaults by units of the 150th and 19th Motorized Rifle Divisions, the 810th Marine Brigade, the 22nd Special Forces Brigade and the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, judging by casualties and prisoners.
Under such dire conditions, our soldiers find a way to smash the enemy, and inflict terrible losses to the Russians, take prisoners every day, and eliminate the enemy's top commanders.
Mariupol must be saved, everyone who is fighting there deserves the highest award.
