Security Service Of Ukraine Prevents Assassination Attempt On Reznikov And Budanov

It was Russia that wanted to eliminate the heads of Ukrainian intelligence and the Ministry of Defense.

The SSU prevented an assassination attempt on the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirylo Budanov and Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.

The SSU Head Vasyl Maliuk said this in an interview with the «1+1» TV channel.

Russian intelligence agencies were preparing to eliminate the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirylo Budanov and Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov. However, the SSU thwarted this attempt.

“The Russians are constantly working on this attempt. We won't tell you everything, because they also learn from their shameful practice. They work not only on me, but on many high-ranking officials in our country. Relatively recently, there was an assassination attempt on my brother-in-arms Kirylo Budanov and Defense Minister Reznikov,” Maliuk said.

A performer was sent to Ukraine, and before that, the Russians set a “test task” to eliminate one serviceman.

Earlier, the website Charter97.org wrote that on August 8, the SSU detained the killers who arrived from Belarus and planned to kill the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
