Danilov: Ukraine Is Ready For General Mobilization In RF, For New Offensive
- 19.12.2022, 12:21
The Kremlin has still not refused its original goal.
Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda that the Russian Federation may resort to general mobilization, which would lead to the elimination of even more of its citizens.
Danilov also did not rule out that in 2023, the Russians might decide to launch a new offensive in Ukraine.
"We must be ready for any development, including Belarus and other territories. And we are getting readyfor it," the NSDC secretary said.
He added that the Kremlin still wants to seize Kyiv and destroy the Ukrainian nation. The Russians have not backed down from their original plan.
It should be noted that Ukraine has never definitively ruled out that the Kremlin might launch a new operation in the north since the start of the full-scale war.
As Charter97.org previously reported, Putin and Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu will fly to Minsk today. They will meet with Lukashenka and Belarusian Defence Minister Viktar Khrenin.
