Flight times from Russia to Egypt have increased significantly
.
Turkish authorities have banned Russian double-registered planes from using the country's airspace. The restriction came into force on November 1.
Anna Podgornaya, a member of the Nordwind Board of Directors, noted in a comment to the Russian edition of RBC that the flight time from Russia to Egypt had increased by 20-30 minutes, but this did not affect the cost of tours.
At the same time the Russian Ministry of Transport has already called such decisions of Turkey as "discrimination". The agency said it allegedly contradicts the goals and objectives of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
In addition, the Bermudian authorities, which do not deregister Russian planes, were also found guilty.
"The Russian carriers have sent corresponding requests to the Bermudian aviation authorities. Delaying de-registration of aircraft by the Bermudian aviation registry is a flagrant violation of the Chicago Convention," assured the Transportation Ministry.
Sanctions Against Russian Planes - What's Known
