The Ukrainian military was very close to the world record for the firing range.

Ukrainian soldiers continue to set records during the fighting with the aggressor. The sniper of the Omega special forces unit, which is part of the National Guard of Ukraine, has come close to the world record for a long-range combat sniper shot.

He eliminated an occupier from a distance of more than 2.7 km, and several hundred meters separated the Ukrainian sniper from reaching the world record. Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

“The Ukrainian sniper has come close to the world record for the long-range combat sniper shot. Our commando liquidated an occupier with an accurate shot from a distance of 2,710m. This is the distance for the 2nd place in the world ranking, confirmed by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the AFU SCD emphasized.

They also recalled that a Canadian sniper who, while performing tasks in Iraq, hit a target at a distance of 3540 meters set the world record.

Briton Craig Harrison until recently remained in second place. He fired a shot at a distance of 2475 meters. Now the Ukrainian has exceeded this result.

Where exactly the Ukrainian sniper demonstrated amazing accuracy and skill is not indicated. We only know that it happened on the night of November 10.

“Snipers of the special forces of the National Guard go hunting at dusk. Very fast and accurate work of one of them last night,” the National Guard said on November 11.
