Regime Receives Official Note Of Protest From Lithuania

Vilnius says it is preparing to terminate bilateral agreements with Belarus.

Belarus has received an official note from Lithuania. It says of the violation of bilateral international treaties by the official Minsk, reports Delfi.

Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that the legal acts, adopted by the Belarusian authorities, violate both universally recognized principles of international law and the bilateral treaties: the treaty of Lithuania and Belarus on legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases, as well as the intergovernmental Lithuanian-Belarusian agreement on the promotion and protection of investments.

The Lithuanian side stresses that in such a situation it has the right to consider these violations as grounds for terminating or withdrawing from the treaty or a part of it.
