Lithuania Disclosed Provocation: Belarusian Border Guards Faked Beating Of Migrant

Lithuanian border guards say they saw how the Belarusian border guards tried to simulate beating of migrants. They were helped by the prepared provocateurs, the Delfi agency informs.

"We have no doubt that such material will be distributed by propaganda channels of the neighboring country," assured the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service.

They also reported that the signal flares were launched at night on the territory of Belarus. There were dozens of them.

There have also been attempts to cross the border of Lithuania illegally in Vilnius and Šalčininkai districts in the past 24 hours. Lithuanian border guards returned some of the migrants to Belarus, and four of them were let through for humanitarian reasons.

A state of emergency has been introduced in Lithuania because of the large flow of illegal migrants, who are trying to get into the country from the territory of Belarus. The military is helping to patrol the borders.
