Monthly losses of the Belarusian aviation industry due to sanctions are estimated at $ 10.3 million. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Sivak.

“In general, in the aviation industry, the monthly economic losses associated with the sanctions are estimated at $ 10.3 million,” Anatol Sivak said.

According to him, only the enforced bypassing of the territory of Ukraine led to an increase in the total flight time, thus a significantly bigger cost, which for July-December 2021 will be approximately $ 5 million.

Important to note, the Western countries imposed an air blockade on Belarus after Lukashenka hijacked a Ryanair plane.
