The date of the burial of the Belarusian hero has become known.

The body of political prisoner Vitold Ashurk, who died in the Shklou colony, was given to his relatives.

The death of Vitold Ashurk became known on Friday, but the body was returned only on Tuesday afternoon. A friend of the family, Volha Bykouskaya, told Belsat that Vitold “had his head bandaged from crown to nose, only his mouth was visible.”

The relatives decided not to make additional examinations, as they do not trust the possible results and do not want to delay the funeral.

The funeral is planned to be arranged tomorrow, May 26, in Biarozauka. Farewell will take place in the House of Life (Navahrudskaya St., 8) from 9 to 13 o'clock; at 14:00, a mass will begin in the Church of the Mother of God of Mercy.

On May 21, it became known that Vitold Ashurok, a political prisoner from Biarozauka, had died in the Shklou colony. He was 50 years old. Cardiac arrest was named as a preliminary cause of death.

The wife of the deceased said that he had not had any heart problems before.

The last letter from him came to her on April 30, although, earlier letters came every 10 days.

It was from Vitold Ashurk's letter that the media learned that yellow tags were sewn onto the clothes of convicts under protest articles in the Shklou colony.
