The diplomats have two days to leave Belarus.

On March 11, Charge d'Affaires of Poland in Belarus Marcin Wojciechowski was summoned to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry. The Polish side was handed a note with a proposal to the head and consul of the Polish Consulate General in Hrodna to leave the territory of Belarus within 48 hours, as the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported.

“In connection with the excessive, asymmetric, and destructive response of Poland to the legitimate and reasoned decision of Belarus regarding the Consul of the Consulate General of Poland in Brest J. Timofeyuk, as well as ignoring the relevant requests of the Belarusian side, on the basis of Articles 23 and 55 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, the Polish side was informed of the inexpediency of the presence on the territory of Belarus of the head and consul of the Consulate General of Poland in Hrodna,” the ministry said.
