Lukashenka Shuffles Power Block In Fear

The new heads of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the General Staff have become known.

Dzmitry Hora was appointed head of the Investigative Committee of Belarus, the IC telegram channel reported. Prior to that, he was Deputy Prosecutor General.

Dzmitry Hora became Deputy Prosecutor General at the end of December 2019. It should be noted that today former head of the IC Ivan Naskevich has been dismissed.

Major General of Police Vadzim Siniauski became the new Minister of Emergency Situations. Earlier he was the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Hrodna Regional Executive Committee.

On January 27, Lieutenant General of Internal Service Uladzimir Vashchanka was dismissed from the post of Minister of Emergency Situations.

There were also some appointments in the system of the Defense Ministry:

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - First Deputy Minister Viktar Hulevich,

Deputy Minister of Defense - Andrei Zhuk,

Commander of the Troops of the Western Operational Command - Ihar Dziamidzenka,

Commander of the troops of the Northwestern Operational Command - Aliaksandr Navumenka.
