Lukashenka's staged rally took place on Independence Square in Minsk today. Even though people were taken by buses and trains from all over the country, the rally gathered less than 8 thousand people. Most of the "prisoners" were disguised police officers, officials, and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

Meanwhile, the rally for change gathered several hundred thousand people and became the largest in the history of Belarus.
