Ann Linde has called on Minsk to ensure free presidential elections.

Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde urged the Belarusian authorities to ensure fair elections and respect for fundamental freedoms.

"Alarming reports from Belarus about arrests and intimidation of peaceful candidates and activists on the eve of the presidential elections. The Belarusian authorities must allow free and fair elections and ensure fundamental freedoms," - Linde's statement on Twitter says.
