Former Defense Minister Pavel Kazlouski: If I Was There, They Wouldn't Hold Coronavirus Parade

The lieutenant general has criticized Lukashenka's idea.

Former Belarusian Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Pavel Kazlouski strongly criticized the parade, prepared by Lukashenka for May 9, in an interview with Radio Svaboda.

"In my time as a minister there would be nothing like that, - Pavel Kazlouski is convinced. - The decision, to put it mildly, is unfortunate. I would like to believe that something will change at the last moment. Can we do otherwise, why disgrace ourselves in the eyes of the world? Planes are flying over our house towards the city - training. It was dark, the column was flying with the lights on. Strive for the holiday - well, arrange a night parade, light with spotlights, finish with fireworks. Make it a light show. Give a live broadcast on BT. But without the crowds! And that would be okay."

"This event (parade) can easily be moved to July 3rd. Everything must be coordinated with the current situation (with the Coronavirus epidemic - ed.), which cannot be ignored as an invisible microbe", - the former Minister of Defense, who is now on self-isolation outside the city, added.
