Constitutional Court Of Belarus Worked Out Proposals On Amending Constitution

Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Belarus Piotr Miklashevich said that proposals for amending the Constitution had already been worked out, interfax.by reports.

"While working on the amendments to the Constitution, the Constitutional Court has analyzed the provisions of the Basic Law of the country, taking into account the changing social relations and realities of the constitutional construction, more than 50 constitutions of foreign countries. As a result, certain suggestions for improvement have been worked out," - Miklashevich says.

As the agency reports, Miklashevich informed about the preparation of proposals for the amendment of the Constitution after the reading of the final part of the message of the Constitutional Court to Lukashenka and "chambers of the national assembly".

The essence of the planned changes is not reported.

"We have adhered to the principle of stable constitutional development. It is necessary to preserve those constitutional provisions which have really shown that peace and tranquillity are achieved, economy and social sphere are developing on their basis. And in general - for the changes to be directed to social progress, modernization of society and further dynamic development of our country," - the head of the Constitutional Court noted.
