Video Fact: Song "Pahonia" Recorded By Choir And Orchestra

All the work lasted two years.
The song "Pahonia", based on the poem of the same name by Maksim Bahdanovich, was recorded for the first time with the participation of orchestra and choir. Pavel Belavus, the head of the Symbal.by project, told tut.by about it.
Famous Belarusian composer Kanstantsin Yaskou has become the music editor and arranger. The original version by Mikalai Shchahlou-Kulikovich was written for the choral a cappella performance (the song was previously performed in this version).
Activist Anton Miazha has initiated the project. The arrangement, rehearsals and recording cost about 2 thousand dollars. All works proceeded two years.
Several dozens of people from different capital ensembles worked on the recording of "Pahonia". The organizers ask not to name any of them.
Belarusian video director Ivan Murauyou has created an emotional video where he used the new recording of "Pahonia" and shots from the reburial of Kastus Kalinouski and the rebels of 1863-1864, filmed by him in Vilnius.
In the early 1990s, "Pahonia" was considered as one of the pretenders to the status of the national anthem of Belarus.
