A Mahiliou activist is outraged by the authorities’ devil-may-care attitude towards people.

Mahiliou activist Uladzimir Shantsau has sent an appeal to the Mahiliou regional executive committee and the State Control Committee, in which he demands "to take immediate measures to complete the repair of houses No. 5 in Mira Avenue and No. 34 in Kasmanautau Street, Mahiliou Viasna writes.

The fact is that for more than a year, they have not been able to finish overhaul works in these houses. Moreover, the situation is dangerous – a lot of residents do not have balustrading on the balconies.

– This scandalous devil-may-care attitude towards the people from the side of the Mahiliou city executive committee and its services has no excuses. And all this goes on against the background of spending huge money on window dressing for the visit of Lukashenka and Putin to Mahiliou, Shantsau says.

He is confident that responsible officials must be held to the strictest responsibility.
