Photofact: Belarusian OMON Under Russian Flag

An OMON (riot police) police van with the Russian flag on the windshield was seen around the Ice Palace in Hrodna before the hockey match "Neman" - "Junost" on Monday evening.

BCD activist from Hrodna Siarhei Verameenka posted that on his Facebook page, charter97.org informs.

When asked on what basis the official state transport was decorated with a flag of a neighboring country, OMON officers answered: "Because we’re a commonwealth" and "fraternal nations".

Siarhei Verameenka intends to send an appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. "But maybe I should appeal to the the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation already?" - the activist from Hrodna wonders.
