The Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Sergey Pisaryk dismissed.
A number of informed sources told this to tut.by.
They are unaware of the reasons of dismissal of the head of the largest commercial state bank. "It all happened very quickly," – one of the informants said.
The press service of Belarusbank assured that Siarhei Paulavich "was at his working place signing documents". One month ago his contract was prolonged for 5 years.
"The order about the dismissal has come from above," – the source said.
The head of the Supervisory Board of Belarusbank, the Minister of Finance Uladzimir Amaryn refused to comment on this.
It's quite interesting, that merits of the banker in football and theater spheres has been recently acknowledged. Siarhei Pisaryk received the National Theatre Award nomination "Art Parton of the Year" on November 27. One week after that he participated in the football season closing ceremony.
November 17, Lukashenka promised to bring banks to "perfect order". " “There is crisis in the country, it’s everywhere. Russia collapsed. Let's see how bankers live. Quite good. Better than a few years ago despite the crisis. So, we are going to establish an iron order over there," – the dictator said at the meeting with journalists.
Let us remind that at least two top managers of Belarusbank were detained this summer: the Executive Director Anatol Bagavik and the First Deputy Chairman of the Board Gennadz Gaspadaryk.
Siarhei Pisaryk was born in Gantsevichy city of Brest region in 1969. He graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University. Almost all his working career has been linked to Belarusbank. Pisaryk became a Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank in 2007. 4 years later he headed the bank.
