Vice Prime Minister Anatoly Tozik offers to charge Br5,000 for a visit to a doctor.
The aim is to make queues in hospitals shorter.
Such a proposal has been made by Anatoly Tozik at the final session of the Health Care Ministry collegium, Zvyazda writes.
“We have more than 13 visits of an out-patient hospital a year per one citizen, and in the neighbouring countries the statistics is different: 6 or 6.5 visits,” he said.
And he offered such a solution: “Let’s impose a fee, Br 5,000 per one visit of an out-patient hospital.” As said by him, if this sum is multiplied by the average number of visits, it is not so much a year. However, as said by Tozik, “even such token sum would probable make people think whether they really need services of a polyclinics?”
