Action of solidarity with Dashkevich in Warsaw (Photo)

A public action to support Zmitser Dashkevich was held at the central railway station in Warsaw on September 10.

Activists of “Union for Democracy in Belarus” gathered on the platform near Warsaw-Minsk train to hand round leaflets with information about the political prisoner. The activists called on passers-by to spread this information among their friends and file requests to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus, Euroradio reports.

We remind that Zmitser Dashkevich is to stand trial on September 13. The official charge is systematic violations of the prison rules. The Young Front leader has been behind bars since December 2010. He was accused of beating a man and sentenced to two years in prison.
