BPF activists leave headquarters, but nailed plywood to door

The BPF party vacated its headquarters at 8, Masherau Avenue in the evening of July 25.

The party prepared a “surprise” for the utility services office of the Savetski district, the organization that initiated the eviction. Activists nailed plywood to the door so that utility workers have to apply certain efforts to enter the building, BelaPAN reports.

The party activists also drew “Long Live Belarus!”, “BPF Forever”, “No one stops BPF”, “We Believe, We Can, We Win” on their former office’s walls.

A Belarusian national white-red-white flag was removed from the entrance. “We do not furl it. We just relocate. The white-red-white flag will continue to wave,” the party chair, Alyaksei Yanukovich, said.

The new party headquarters will be located at 93a, Kropotkin Street.
