After a year of work in Belarusian branch of Lukoil Company, the former head of the presidential administration of Lukashenka found a new job in the Russian capital.
At present Ural Latypau is the president of Direct Management Company, which owns the largest shopping center in Europe, Gorbuskin dvor, and other large property units in Russian capital, “Ezhednevnik” informs.
“Gorbuskin dvor” is owned by Alexander Milyavsky, native of Minsk.
The former owner of the famous TV plant “Rubin”, once a main competitor of "HORIZONT", sold his business in 2003 to Korean company Rolsen and dedicated himself exclusively to real estate development projects. Since 2005 Milyavsky is a deputy of Moscow City Duma, United Russia (Yedinaya Rossiya) faction, and he is in charge of urban development issues. Through his wife Zhanna Milyavskaya he controls JSC Rubin and legendary retail complex Gorbushkin dvor, office centres and a few promising building land sites. They include hotel and business complex (137,000 square metres) and retail and entertainment centre Filion (62,000 square metres).
It is not by chance 58-year-old Ural Latypau (Latypov), who was a key figure in Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s entourage (he was his administration head in 2001-2004), works for JSC Rubin. Owners of Rubin, the Milyavskys family, have been always placing their stake on high-ranking Belarusian cadres.
In the 1990ies Anatoly Lashkevich was a director general of “Rubin” plant. He was a former First Secretary of the Communist Party of Belarus, who emigrated from Belarus because of political differences with Lukahsneka.
In early 200ies a former Prime Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Yarmoshyn found safe haven at “Rubin” enterprise. He had to leave Belarus after “Mobilnye TeleSistemy” dealership was closed there.
A former chief architect of Minsk Alyaksandr Chadovich was responsible for architecture in the holding. And finally, Upendra Mahato, the Honorary consul General of Nepal in the Republic of Belarus, is a member of the board of directors of Direct Management. Members of Mahato family are influential businessmen in Belarus: Birendra Mahato owns 60% of shares of JSC “Amkodor” and is a member of its board of directors, Surendra Mahato possesses “Kravira” medical centre. Besides, until recently the brothers had a large stock of shares in “Mezhtorgbank”, bought by “Alfa-bank”.
