Border guards of Hrodna detachments detained Anzhalika Borys, leader of the Union of Poles in Belarus, Igor Bancer, Magazyn Polski correspondent, car driver and eight Polish citizens near the village Radun (Voranava district) about 10 kilometers from Belarusian-Polish border.
Detained activists were registered as trespassers. BelaPAN learnt it from Alyaksandr Tsishchanka, spokesman of the State Border Committee of Belarus.
According to him, reports on administrative offence were drawn up against three Belarusian citizens. Trespassers were invited to visit the head of Hrodna border detachment on 18 April.
What concerns eight Polish citizens, A. Tsishchanka explained, they had had no permissions to enter the border zone, though they had pointed the village Radun, where they had been invited to, as a place of their staying when filing a migration card. The Polish are now working on their programme – the programme of invitation.
So, 11 people were detained in the Belarusian border zone – three Belarusian citizens, and eight Poles.
